The Glowden Cupspedition

As of September 30th, 2018 the inaugural Cupspedition has ended.

Over the course of the last 12 months, we dropped cups (unbreakable ones, of course) in 14 cities and 7 states and shared the stories on Instagram. We had a total of 12 cups found and there are still 4 missing!

Congratulations to our overall Grand Prize Getaway winner, Laura T! She found her Glowden Cup in Austin, Texas. She generously donated her $100 winnings to Austin Wildlife Rescue. We thought that was amazing and have decided to match her donation to the organization, along with the prize money never claimed with those 4 missing cups, by donating a full case of custom pints to Austin Wildlife Rescue.

Gather your treasure hunting gear

Silipint is excited to announce our inaugural Cupspedition Treasure Hunt! We aim to motivate all good-time seekers to find time in their busy lives for exploration. It’s an adventure, so ignite your inner child, call up your BFF, and get excited to find hidden treasure, in this case, a cup. Each cup wins you cash and is an entry toward an expense-paid trip for two!

In short, the Cupspedition is a treasure hunt for our “Glowden Silipints”. As our Cupster Crew travels around to different cities and events we will be “dropping cups” at selected businesses and points-of-interest in hidden spots. Don’t worry, when we drop cups, they don’t break!

What’s in the Cup?

Inside of each of the Glowden Cups will be a golden ticket, each ticket is a cash prize voucher for $100! These cups are ridiculously hard to miss. Just be on the lookout for bright yellow (like neon highlighter, kissed-by-the-sun yellow) glow-in-the-dark Silipints.

How To Stay Updated

This treasure hunt includes anywhere and everywhere you go. We realize that’s a broad map, so the best way to begin your hunt is to first have the tools: Follow @Silipint on Instagram and watch for clues on our Instagram stories as to where we hide them so you can be the first to find them!

If You Find a Glowden Cup

If you find one of the Glowden Cups, follow the directions on the golden ticket inside to claim your cash prize as well as be entered into the Grand Prize Getaway to Bend, Oregon during the 2018-2019 ski season. This trip for two includes flight and hotel accommodations, as well as two chairlift passes to Mt. Bachelor.

Don’t worry, if you don’t find a Glowden Cup you can still be entered to win the Grand Prize Getaway just by getting into the spirit of Cupspeditioning! (that’s now a word)

Here’s how:

• Take a selfie with your own Silipint and note where you’re at, what you’re up to and who you’re fun-having with (if anyone!).
• Post it to Instagram or Facebook
• Tag @Silipint and use #cupspedition.

That’s it! You’ll then be in the running for the trip for two to Bend, Oregon during the 2018-2019 ski season.

Please note: By posting with #cupspedition, you’re granting Silipint permission to repost any really super cool and fun ones on our other social channels and marketing stuff to help us spread the word.

Finally – once you’ve gotten yourself in the running, either by participating in the treasure hunt or posting some awesome photos with #cupspedition, our panel of judges here at Silipint will choose the photo with the best engagement and name one very lucky winner on October 5, 2018. The cooler the photo, the better the engagement, and the more points you get – so get creative!

The Rules and Regulations

The contest will run from October 28th, 2017 to September 30th, 2018 at Midnight, PST. During this timeframe, a series of up to 25 Glowden Silipints will be hidden throughout the United States and clues will be given on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter on where to locate them.

A winner will be drawn for the Grand Prize Getaway no later than October 5th, 2018, for the 2018-2019 ski season. We will share the winning photo and Direct Message the winner on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

No purchase necessary to enter.

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

By participating in the contest you agree to allow Silipint to use your photos.

Payment of all federal, state and local taxes is the sole responsibility of the winner(s) and the winner(s) may receive a W-9, IRS form 1099, or equivalent from the Sponsors. Sponsors will report any individual winnings over $600 (in cash or fair market value of goods or services) in a one year period to the Internal Revenue Service. Winner(s) are required to fill out any tax forms requested by the Sponsors in order to receive their prize(s).

Eligibility

Cupspedition Treasure Hunt (the “Contest”) is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. Employees of Silipint, Inc. and other companies associated with the promotion of the Contest, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising and promotion agencies, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee, are not eligible. The Contest is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Sponsor

The Contest is sponsored by Silipint, Inc, located at 1375 SW Commerce Ave, #190, Bend, Oregon 97702.

Agreement to Official Rules

Participation in the Contest constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.

Contest Period

The Contest begins on October 28, 2017, at 12:00 am Pacific Standard Time and ends on September 30, 2018, at 11:59 pm PST Pacific Standard Time (the “Contest Period”). Entries that are submitted before or after the Contest Period will be disqualified. Submissions for the Grand Prize will be accepted for the duration of the Contest using any of the following methods:

• Grand Prize: Photo posted online via Instagram, Facebook and Twitter using #cupspedition and tagging @Silipint when posting
• Treasure Hunt Prizes: Participants will win individual prizes by being the first to find the hidden cup and by following the instructions within it to claim the cash prize. Cup finders will be required to provide a photograph of themselves with their cups in the location they found it and will get to keep the cup and lid that they find. When claiming cash prizes, participants will be required to provide valid ID and mailing address.
• How to Enter

Online: This method of entry will be available by posting a photo on Instagram or Facebook with #cupspedition. To be considered as an entry, photos must include one of the following:

• Participating in the Cupspedition Treasure Hunt
• Personal Photo with any Silipint
• Use hashtag #cupspedition and tag @Silipint in the post

Unlimited entries for the Grand Prize and individual prizes. By using #cupspedition is an acknowledgment of entry into the contest and providing rights to use photos for promotional use.

All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged prior to use.

Prize Drawing

Grand Prize: On or about October 05, 2018, the Sponsor will select potential winners at their discretion. The odds of being selected depend on the number of entries received. The Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential winner via telephone or email on or about October 05, 2018. If the potential winner cannot be contacted within five (5) days after the date of the first attempt to contact him/her, the Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner in his/her place at random from the remaining non-winning, eligible entries.

Treasure Hunt Prizes: Prizes will be placed in locations across the United States. Participants must follow clues to find the prize. First to find the prize is the winner. Additional prizes can be obtained by the winner by following instructions provided in the prize location.

Winner Notification

The potential winners will be notified by email, mail or phone, as well as notified by Direct Message on the social media channel that they posted their entry to. Each potential Grand Prize winner will be required to complete, electronically sign and submit a Declaration of Compliance within five (5) days of the date notice or attempted notice is sent, in order to claim his/her prize. If a potential winner cannot be contacted or fails to submit the Declaration of Compliance within the required time period (if applicable), or prize is returned as undeliverable, potential winner forfeits prize. If the potential winner is at least 18 but still considered a minor in his/her jurisdiction of residence, Sponsor reserves the right to award the prize in the name of his/her parent or legal guardian, who will be required to sign the Declaration of Compliance on the potential winner’s behalf and fulfill any other requirements imposed on winner set forth herein. Potential winners must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries. Only three (3) alternate drawings will be held, after which the prize will remain un-awarded. Prizes will be fulfilled approximately 8-10 weeks after the conclusion of the Contest.

Prizes

Grand Prize (1) A trip to Bend, OR including flights for two to Bend, Oregon from a location within the United States, hotel for 2 nights and 2 2018-2019 Ski Season Lift Tickets to Mount Bachelor during a 4-day time frame in 2018-2019.

Treasure Hunt Prize: cash prizes between $50 and $200.

Treasure Hunt Prize supplement (optional, at the discretion of Sponsor): gift certificate and items provided by sponsor partners.

General Conditions

In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Contest is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, virus, bug, worm, unauthorized human intervention or other technical problem, or in the event the Contest is unable to run as planned for any other reason, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either (a) suspend the Contest to address the impairment and then resume the Contest in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules or (b) terminate the Contest and, in the event of termination, award the prize at random from among the eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the impairment. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to damage the website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages (including attorney’s fees) and any other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure by the Sponsor to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

Release and Limitations of Liability

By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, other companies associated with the Contest, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, representatives, and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto), including, but not limited to: (a) any technical errors associated with the Contest, including lost, interrupted or unavailable Internet Service Provider (ISP), network, server, wireless service provider, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone, cellular tower or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; (b) unauthorized human intervention in the Contest; (c) mechanical, network, electronic, computer, human, printing or typographical errors; (d) application downloads, (e) any other errors or problems in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, errors that may occur in the administration of the Contest, the announcement of the winner, the cancellation or postponement of the event and/or the flyover, if applicable, the incorrect downloading of the application, the processing of entries application downloads or in any Contest-related materials; or (f) injury, death, losses or damages of any kind, to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Contest or acceptance, receipt or misuse of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto). Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Contest, and in no event shall the entrant be entitled to receive attorney’s fees. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest. Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.

Disputes

Except where prohibited, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Oregon. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Oregon, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Oregon.

Privacy

Information collected from entrants is subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Policy.
